Artisan Sajad

"I was born on March 18, 1960 in Kashmir, India. I have inherited these rich craft traditions from my ancestors, who have been creating exquisite handicrafts for a long time. Ever since I began, I have been always keen about one thing and that is quality.

"My products include chain-stitched rugs, shawls, pashminas, hand-painted papier maché, table linens and bedspreads. I think there are a lot of things involved in making your product worthwhile. Apart from quality, the color combination counts a lot. I put a lot of effort into blending colors to create the most unique articles. This is the plus in my products. Though modern style has mass appeal, traditional style is undying and will always be as enchanting as it was 100 years ago."
