January 24, 2013 - I love that it's made from all natural materials. What I was shocked to learn when it arrived is that it will biodegrade in 4-5 years. That information should be available before purchase so you know you're not buying a permanent fixture that you can use for many years. I imagine bringing it in over the winter may prolong it's life. Still, it looks very cool hanging in the yard. I'd originally purchased one for a friend, but when I saw it I just had to get one for myself! As the other reviewer said, the hole seems a little big, and the inside steps seem so smooth that I wonder if birds will actually get purchase, but I called the company and they assure me they have photos of birds using it. So as long as those 2 issues pan out for the birds, it's a wicked cool bird house!
