Artisan: Amporn

Artisan Amporn Amporn learned wood carving from master artisans at the age of 19. 'Many people think that men are better than women at woodcarving, but in my area women do excellent work. More than 70% of the people working with me are women. As a northern Thai woman, I am so proud that I can have my own career and also generate work for more than 20 local families. I'm proud of my work and always strive to create only the best. I hope you will love it,' she says.
