Artisan Ketut Suwitra

Ketut Suwitra: As the youngest in a family of rice farmers, Suwitra had no opportunity for schooling beyond elementary. Walks through the jungle fostered in Suwitra a deep appreciation for nature, while the colorful fabric market of Denpasar gave him a sense of design. After a one year work and study program in Colorado, he returned to his beloved Bali to continue designing elegant wearable art. He masters batik and silk screening techniques, and hand-painting.
