Agapito's Ceramic Shipibo Vase

Item # 34102
No longer available

Invite unique cosmopolitan flair into your home with the striking, detailed good looks of Shipibo pottery. The dramatic maze pattern is a traditional design element of Shipibo pottery and fabrics, representing their Ayahuasca-based cosmology. Despite hundreds of years of sporadic contact with Western civilization, they have managed to maintain their ancient shamanistic traditions and beliefs along with a sense of strong tribal identity.

Each piece of pottery is unique and fired over an open wood fire using traditional techniques. Available in your choice of Red or Green, the Large version has a fluted top and measures 5.75" T x 6.5" dia (14.6 x 16.5 cm), and the Small vase has a rounded profile and measures 4.5" T x 7" W (11.4 x 17.8 cm). Vases are individually $19.95, or get a Set of 2 green or red, one of each size, for only $34.95!

Because these pots are fired at a low heat, they do not hold water well, and are for decorative use or dried flower arrangements only. Dyes are all-natural; each piece is handmade in and fairly traded from Peru.
