Alpaca & Silk Green Accented Scarf

Item # 31002
No longer available

Uniquely playful design and high-quality craftsmanship team up for a one-of-a-kind motif in our Alpaca & Silk Green Accented Scarf. A dark olive background is delightfully strewn with small wool "bows", creating a fun effect suitable for wardrobe ensembles galore! These sumptuous scarves are the work of regional weaving master Hugo Guillermo Rojas Quevedo, a gifted textile artisan who works with textile communities in Puno and Cuzco, Peru.

The alpaca, native to South America, is an animal on which many Andean families base their livelihood. They are sheared annually and their hairs separated into grades depending on thickness. The wool is strong, light, soft, hypoallergenic, breathable, and oil-free. Every touch is a caress -- your neck and shoulders will thank you!

70% baby alpaca wool and 30% silk. Scarf measures 72" L x 10" W (180 x 25.4 cm), not including fringe. Hand-wash cold. Handmade and fairly traded from Peru.
