Short Blackwood Candleholders from Mozambique

Item # 25074
No longer available

Quality materials unite with striking style in these beautiful handcarved candleholders. Handmade from native blackwood in Mozambique, these sleek candleholders were fair-trade imported through Aid to Artisans.

Aid to Artisans is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating economic opportunities for craftspeople in developing nations. Most of ATA's artisan partners in Mozambique are wood carvers with a long history of craft production. Although men traditionally used precious woods for craft production, ATA is conscious of the fact that the trees are becoming increasingly scarce, and is committed to conservation and judicious use of natural resources.

Set of two candleholders, each measuring approximately 2.25" T x 2" dia. (5.7 cm x 5.1 cm dia.). Fair trade imported.

July 5, 2013 - Beautiful and elegant. I love them.

December 8, 2012 - Love these! They are actually heavy enough not to tip over with very long, thick tapers. Go-with-everything design.
