In Lima, Peru, water is hard to come by. It sits on the northern edge of the Atacama, the driest desert in the world, meaning the city sees perhaps half an inch of precipitation annually. That's not enough to sustain a growing population. The University of Engineering and Technology of Peru (UTEC) had a solution.
Afghanistan is a dangerous place if you're a girl with a dream of education. In sections of Afghanistan, the Taliban has attacked girls on their way to school, and parents are afraid for their children's safety. We don't want that to happen for the students at the Zabuli Education Center.
