The Literacy Site Makes It Even Easier to Help

With a brand new look, The Literacy Site offers the familiar "click to give" experience, where your clicks support literacy and education programs throughout the world. In addition, the new drop-down navigation menu provides quick and easy access to several other ways to help your favorite cause. With new navigation and a more intuitive interface, helping is alway just a click away. You can:

Click. As always, your daily clicks make books available for children without adequate access to age-appropriate reading material. Last year alone, clicks funded over 250,000 books. Additional grants helped advance the cause of equal education for girls in some of the poorest regions in the world.

Take the Tour

Subscribe. With the easy-to-use subscription form, you can sign up to receive a daily click reminder, news, special offers and more. Plus, for every first-time subscriber, The Literacy Site will also give an extra book to a child in need.

Take Action. Sign a petition or a pledge to help your cause. Take Action campaigns offer a variety of ways to help, from defending critical education programs to ensuring access to quality classrooms and teachers. Stay informed and make your voice heard!

Share. The Literacy Site also provides a space for people to connect with one another, united in the common goal of promoting literacy around the world. More clicks means more books for those lacking access, so help spread the word.

Donate. Looking for ways to contribute directly to the cause? With the Gifts That Give More™ program, 100% of your donation passes through to our nonprofit charity partners, and GreaterGood covers the costs.

And don't forget you can shop at The Literacy Site Store, where every item sold funds at least one new book. Grants go to help great charities, including Room to Read and First Book. In 2012, purchases at the store paid for an additional 8,355 books for children in need.

Of course, there's always more to do at The Literacy Site: Check out pages for both teachers and families for tips & ideas, links to internet resources, and even some recommended reading. For more on the site redesign, take the tour or just feel free to explore.
