Great Hunger Museum opens in Connecticut

Quinnipiac University's Great Hunger Museum is dedicated to chronicling the impact of the years of famine in Ireland, a period that stretched from 1845 and 1852.

At the museum opening, Professor Christine Kinealy of Drew University in New Jersey, an expert in 19th century Irish history, spoke about the impact of the famine on Ireland today.

The Great Hunger Museum is located in Hamden, Connecticut.
