Gifts to Charities Action Trust help families and destitute children

Indian street childrenIn their annual report to GreaterGood.org, the UK-based Charities Action Trust gave the results for a number of projects supported through the Gifts That Give More [tm] program. These included the following.

MEDICAL CARE FOR STREET CHILDREN OF INDIA
“As a result [of this funding], visible change has been made in the lives of marginalized and street children. They are healthy and are able to pursue education towards building a sound career and dignified life.”

SEEDS FOR HOPE FOR AFRICAN FAMILIES
Between July 2009 and June 2010, GreaterGood.org funding helped 2,055 underprivileged families. “We are able to reach a significant number of beneficiaries as a result of your gift. Once again, thank you for believing in the work that we do and supporting us in reaching our goals,” Susie Jenner of CAT wrote.

ORPHANS DOWRY

In 2010, CAT reported that their partners in Rwanda are calling this program “a particular success story, ensuring that children stay in school as they no longer have to drop out to begin earning to pay for the dowry.”

PROTECT AFRICANS FROM RIVER BLINDNESS
Between July 2009 and June 2010, this Gift That Gives More paid for the treatment of approximately 5,550 beneficiaries.

SCHOOL MEALS FOR AFRICAN CHILDREN
Between July 2009 and June 2010, GreaterGood.org's support provided meals for more than 3,500 children in sub-Saharan Africa.
