Focusing attention on the plight of homeless veterans

The GreaterGood Network began with The Hunger Site, a website focused on the issues of hunger and poverty, in 1999. Since then, the organization has expanded to iaddress cancer and other widespread health problems, foster literacy and provide education, preserve vital habitats in peril, and provide protection and care to vulnerable animals.

But hunger and poverty remain a core concern. At the end of 2010, launched two new Gifts That Give More™ to aid homeless veterans.

On any given night, more than 100,000 U.S. veterans are sleeping on the streets due to lack of available shelter beds, and nearly three million veterans and their families don't have enough to eat each month, according to statistics compiled by the Veteran Affairs Administration.

Working with current and new charitable partners, will help programs focused on addressing this need, providing both shelter and food for those who have served their country.
